Ph.D.in Sratigraphy and Sedimentology (2001), MIUR fellowships at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” Department of Earth Sciences (2001-2005). Since 2005 he is researcher (Faculty Staff) at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. Since 2007 he is associated researcher at IGAG-CNR. 2013.
He is delegate of the International Sedimentologist Association Italian (IAS), he is council member of GEOSED (Stratigraphic section of Italian Geological Society)
He is reviewer for many international journals and for ESF project application (European Science Foundation). In all the field of interest, he collaborates with Italian and European researchers. His researches include: Carbonate sedimentology and stratigraphy of Mediterranean Cenozoic platforms (central Apennines, Balears Islands, Malta, Corsica and Sardinia), mixed siliciclastic-carbonate systems, Paleoclimate of Oligo-Miocene times, oceanographic-ecologic-sedimentologic model for foramol-rhodalgal-carbonates, petroleum geology, Modern carbonate sedimentation of Mediterranean Sea, with particular interest for seagrass environments.
He is member of International Sedimentologist Association, Italian Geological Society (SGI) and Geosed (Stratigraphic Section of SGI).
